Q: What is the difference between Wraptivo Universal and Wraptivo Individual?
A: Wraptivo Universal is a series of retail pack kits available through key account stores and online outlets. These kits come in various sizes and can be used to accentuate interior components, exterior trim pieces, or panels of one’s vehicle. Wraptivo Universal can be installed by the mechanically inclined do it yourself types or by professionally trained installers.
Wraptivo Universal features the Textured Collection featuring different shades of carbons, brushed metals, and woods.
Wraptivo Individual is a series of wrap material sold ONLY to certified installers in full roll sizes for the purpose of full car wraps. These full-car wraps give enthusiasts a new innovative way to customize the appearance of their ride while also protecting their cars paint surface.
Wraptivo Individual features the Phantom Collection of matte colors. This collection is NOT available directly to the public. These matte colors from the Phantom Collection can only be purchased and installed individually from a Wraptivo Certified Installer.
Q: What are the wraps made of?
A: Our Wraptivo printed and textured wraps use best-in-class 3M films and technology. The special adhesive properties of the film allow the installer to have the flexibility to work with the wrap without damaging the car's surface.
Q: How long will it take to wrap my car?
A: Wrapping full complete cars really is an art. Due to the curved surfaces and differences of all vehicles every installation is going to differ. The larger the surface covered, the more time it will take. A whole car will approximately take anywhere between 1 to 3 days on the average depending on the installer. What is certain is that car wraps should take much less time than a custom paint job.
On smaller components when using the Wraptivo Universal retail packs small pieces should be able to be done in less than a day’s time.
Q: How long will a designer car wrap last?
A: Full car wraps should last up to 3 years though it can be changed more frequently to give your car a fresh new look whenever you want. Wraptivo takes far less time to complete than a full paint job and is easily removable, thus, making it simple to continually change styles.
Q: Can Wraptivo affect my current paint job?
A: If an owner or installer applies Wraptivo correctly and on to a clean FACTORY CURED surface, then it should not affect the paint of your vehicle. In fact, Wraptivo designer car wraps by Meguiar's can actually protect your car from environmental and UV damage. We do recommend that Wraptivo only be applied to cars with factory paint which have been cured to stringent standards. Wraptivo is not recommended for aftermarket painted surfaces.
Q: How much will they cost?
A: Prices for the Wraptivo Universal retail packs vary with size. The smallest pack retails for about $50 while the medium size pack is about $80 and the large body panel pack is about $160. For full car wraps it will all vary depending on the car and the going rate of a certain installer. It’s just like getting a paint or detail job. The average price of a full car wrap usually ranges from $2500-$6000 but again pricing varies pending on the installer.
